Detailed Itinerary
Welcome to Tanzania! Our team will meet your family at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer you comfortably to your hotel in Moshi. Relax, meet your guide, and prepare for your Kilimanjaro adventure.
Altitude: 1,800 m → 2,835 m
Trekking: 5–7 hours
After breakfast, drive to Machame Gate and begin your Kilimanjaro climb. Trek through the beautiful rainforest at a comfortable family-friendly pace before reaching Machame Camp for dinner and overnight.
Altitude: 2,835 m → 3,750 m
Trekking: 4–6 hours
Leave the rainforest behind and continue through the heath and moorland zone toward the spectacular Shira Plateau. Enjoy beautiful mountain views and a relaxed evening at camp.
Lava Tower: 4,600 m
Barranco Camp: 3,960 m
Trekking: 6–8 hours
A scenic and important acclimatization day. Climb gradually toward Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Camp. The changing landscapes and dramatic views make this one of the most memorable days on the route.
Altitude: 3,960 m → 3,995 m
Trekking: 4–5 hours
Start the day with the exciting Barranco Wall, then continue across beautiful mountain valleys toward Karanga Camp. This shorter trekking day gives the family valuable time to rest, enjoy the scenery and prepare for the summit.
Altitude: 3,995 m → 4,673 m
Trekking: 4–5 hours
Continue steadily to Barafu Camp, the main base for your summit attempt. After an early dinner, your guide will provide a final summit briefing and help everyone prepare for the night climb.
Uhuru Peak: 5,895 m
Mweka Camp: 3,100 m
Trekking: 12–16 hours
The big family adventure! Begin the summit climb around midnight and make your way to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your achievement together before descending to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest.
Trekking: 3–4 hours
Enjoy your final walk through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. After completing the climb, receive your Kilimanjaro certificates before our team transfers you back to your Moshi hotel. Relax and celebrate your family's achievement.
